Description
Morning has broken in a classic west Texas desert scene in Terlingua. Partially silhouetted yucca plants start to show their color as the moon descends behind the mountain range. At dawn the crisp cool October climate produces yellow and rose pink hues in the sky before the complete sunrise and warming temperatures. Yuccas are one of the most recognizable plants in the region and can be found throughout the baron landscape. In the fall the yucca's stalks are bare but are still impressive due to their height.
A mining town around the turn of the century, Terlingua is now a tourist destination for Big Bend National Park visitors.

Thank you Jerry! I We're not blessed with Saguaros here in Texas but I sure do love those Yuccas too!

Our Yuccas just dropped the last of their blooms, Rosanne. This is such a peaceful, tranquil scene that so evokes the beauty of a new day!.....Fav / Like
