Oh how I love the landscape of Palo Duro State Park, also known as the Grand Canyon of Texas. On my trip I found the canyon's floor and rock walls glowing with radiance in vibrant hues of reds and oranges.Various shades of green trees and shrubbery blanketed the earth and provided shade, relief from the heat and shelter to some of the smaller wildlife that call this place home. The area's occasional storms and rainfall contribute to the beauty and life found in this barren landscape. A mesmerizing place with healing powers. A place of wonder.
About Roseanne Schellenberger
Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts. When I'm not painting I enjoy being outdoors, traveling the open road, hiking the trails, photography and planning the next adventure. -Roseanne...
