I found some unexpected inspiration in my Mother's backyard in El Paso, Texas on a recent visit.
A vibrant display of flowers in a beautiful blue glazed pot sitting on a bench. I couldn't stop admiring them and I knew immediately I had to paint them.
During my visit we traveled to to neighboring New Mexico and, went on some amazing desert hikes looking for spring blooms and panoramic landscape vistas for future paintings. I almost missed the beauty right under my nose in my mother's yard!!

Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts.
