Inspired by a photo of the Wellsville Mountains outside of Logan, Utah.
An inviting homestead in a vast landscape offers refuge and enchanting views. The majestic mountains behind are capped with the first snow while the surrounding grasslands have yellowed and become dormant in preparation for the incoming winter which can consist of 7 months of significant snowfall.
This mountain range is considered one of the steepest in the Rocky Mountains and includes a preserved wilderness with 17 miles of trails that lead you to the vistas of the range's highest points. The surrounding farmland is known for hay, alfalfa and grain production.
About Roseanne Schellenberger
Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts. When I'm not painting I enjoy being outdoors, traveling the open road, hiking the trails, photography and planning the next adventure. -Roseanne...
