Artist's Description
A summer storm is approaching. Ominous clouds fill the sky above in Palo Duro Canyon, the grand canyon of Texas. What's left of daylight brightly illuminates the horizon as day turns into night. For a few minutes, right before total darkness, hints of color can still be seen on the canyon's floor.

About Roseanne Schellenberger
Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts. When I'm not painting I enjoy being outdoors, traveling the open road, hiking the trails, photography and planning the next adventure. -Roseanne...
