Artist's Description

In the spring some of the landscape in the rural parts of North Texas look like this. Outside of Fort Worth, in the small community of Paradise, the flat ground is covered with wildflowers like poppies and bluebonnets. Here a native stately big oak, bushes and grasses become lush and turn different shades of green creating a spring paradise. If you travel south, west and northwest of Fort Worth you may spot scenes like this that are reminiscent of the Texas hill country.

About Roseanne Schellenberger

Roseanne Schellenberger

Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts. When I'm not painting I enjoy being outdoors, traveling the open road, hiking the trails, photography and planning the next adventure. -Roseanne...
