Marked by magnificent rock features like mesas, cliffs and buttes; Monument Valley exemplifies the true landscape of the American west. Located on the Arizona/Utah border the natural colors of this desolate landscape are deep and rich. The wide and flat remote valley is interrupted by vegetation and a variety of land forms that absorb the golden hour's warm light and break the horizon; resulting in a beautiful display of nature under a perfect partly cloudy sky.
About Roseanne Schellenberger
Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts. When I'm not painting I enjoy being outdoors, traveling the open road, hiking the trails, photography and planning the next adventure. -Roseanne...
