Far away from the deserts there are beaches, oceans and seas. This scene is a departure of the dry barren landscapes I enjoy painting. Regardless, a sunset is a glorious occurence at any geographic location and it was just as enjoyable to paint!
Here a colorful band of yellow, oranges and pinks stretch across the horizon just below the clouds. The ocean's water below mirrors the beautiful display. Calm waves whisper and gently drench the sand while a trio of seagulls fly lazily through the air.
About Roseanne Schellenberger
Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts. When I'm not painting I enjoy being outdoors, traveling the open road, hiking the trails, photography and planning the next adventure. -Roseanne...
