This is one of my favorite hiking trails at the Fort Worth Nature Center. There aren't many trails with elevation here in this part of Texas but this one offers more than most. There are several sections like this throughout the Canyon Ridge trail which is 5.9 miles out and back with stunning views of the lake and surrounding area.
Day 2 of the 3 day challenge in which perspective is the theme.

Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts.
