Artist's Description

My 2nd painting of the iconic Window at Big Bend National Park in Texas. An assortment of desert flora dot the landscape while the view of the valley below through the V shape window draws you in. The desert is the most beautiful when there are clouds in the sky. Here the big fluffy clouds are illuminated by the sun which is also casting highlights on the mountain walls late in the day resulting in a dramatic scene of one of the most popular spots in the park.

About Roseanne Schellenberger

Roseanne Schellenberger

Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts. When I'm not painting I enjoy being outdoors, traveling the open road, hiking the trails, photography and planning the next adventure. -Roseanne...
