Walking into an inviting trail at the Fort Worth Nature center on a beautiful autumn day I couldn't help notice the dappled light and the dramatic shadows cast by the trees.
I also couldn't help thinking about Gregory McGuire's quote- "The eye is always caught by light, but shadows have more to say."
About Roseanne Schellenberger
Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery! My work is a celebration of my sense of adventure and deep connection I feel with nature. I grew up in the desert region of Texas and have so many fond memories of family vacations to the surrounding attractions including some in New Mexico and Arizona. That might explain why southwestern landscapes are my favorite! I work in acrylics with a combination of brush and knife applications, gravitating towards realism with a focus on color. However, I also like to experiment with a variety of techiniques and styles including semi-abstracts.
